New Scientist Live Festival

Included for both love and sentimentality, I present to you: my first ever presenting job, and to this day still one of my favourites!

Following a lifelong passion for physics, and my participation as an audience member in science lectures and conferences (for all levels) across London, I produced digital event coverage for New Scientist Live 2019’s astrophysics stage. The best-performing of these was a basic explainer on the science of black holes (which I introduced as something that “sits in the universe and slurps up everything around it” before gently increasing the incline!), drawing over 20,000 likes for NS Live.

Whilst at the festival I also interviewed the pilots from Gravity Industries, the aviation innovation company famous for developing the world’s first human jet suit!

I maintained my relationship with New Scientist, completing an introductory quantum physics course in 2022.
