I am deeply passionate about the art of voice acting and its endless scope. This is a job in which you may not necessarily play a human being but a giraffe, a candlestick, a squiggle freed from a sheet of paper… To quote what an animation client once excitedly said to me, “there’s a dog in this project you’d be brilliant for!”. (In VO, a compliment of the highest order.) I believe that the greatest voice actors possess not only a technical understanding of their craft but a rich imagination, great sense of play and lack of creative inhibition – if you can dream it, you can voice it!

As a child, I unwittingly began to train my voice through my ear. I delighted in any voice that captured me; rewinding the TV to repeat a certain sentence, falling asleep to audiobook tapes, absorbing the intricacies of language and performance wherever I could. Growing up all over the world, I came to understand the value of stories as a “communal currency of humanity”, and developed a global perspective that I bring to all my work today.

I love the work of imbuing a personality, feeling or idea through voice. I have had the immense pleasure of working with many wonderful voice directors and am equally happy to self-direct. I am very comfortable performing multiple takes on the spot, improvising, or offering suggestions to help stick the landing – my job is to make yours as easy as possible.
