Visit Korea VIP Reception 2025

It was an honour to host/emcee for the Korea Tourism Organisation again! The theme of this year’s event was “Discover Korea’s Hidden Gems”. It sprawled two floors of the Tate Modern, including exclusive after-hours access to the artist Do Ho Suh’s ongoing exhibition.

The audience comprised of travel operators, marketers, journalists and influencers, with the event aiming to promote travel beyond just Seoul and into the lesser-known regions of South West Korea. This meant a lot to me personally as I am half Korean but my family isn’t from Seoul; I had always hoped that in my job I might be able to share more of Korea with people!

At the start of the evening, during the drinks reception, I walked around the Tate and mingled with guests. I then took to stage to formally welcome guests and invite them to explore the exhibition, after which the event moved to a gorgeous space upstairs that had been transformed into a Korean street food market. Following snacks and some casual networking for guests, I took to stage to kick-start the main body of the evening. I discussed the theme of the night, introduced speakers and performances throughout the evening, hosted the raffle draw (with airline sponsors generously giving away trips to Korea!) and wrapped up the evening with coffee, traditional desserts and encouraging further networking.

I had a wonderful time hosting something so close to my heart and seeing clients I love working with, for another year!
